Worship is one of the most beautiful things we get to do together. It’s not just singing or scripture reading—it’s a posture of the heart. It’s us, as the people of God, choosing to turn our attention away from ourselves and onto the One who saves, heals, and redeems.

This week, we continue our Lenten journey of Making Space for God by focusing on the spiritual discipline of worship—and it could not come at a more meaningful moment. Palm Sunday is here, and with it, we step into the most sacred week of the Christian year.

On Palm Sunday, we wave branches and shout “Hosanna!” just like the crowds who lined the streets of Jerusalem to welcome Jesus. The use of palms is a symbol of honor and celebration—something worshippers have done for centuries to mark the presence of a king. And while our palms may be less about triumph and more about transformation, they still tell a powerful story: the King is coming, not on a war horse, but on a donkey. Not to conquer nations, but to capture hearts.

This week, I want to invite you—yes, even the tired, distracted, stressed-out you—to enter fully into worship. Make space. Come see. Let the story of Christ’s passion, death, and resurrection breathe new life into your spirit.

Here’s how we’ll worship together this Holy Week:

Maundy Thursday, April 17, from 6:00–8:00 p.m., Pittman Park’s building will be transformed into an interactive, self-guided Stations of the Cross experience. You can drop in anytime during those hours to walk through scripture, prayer, and reflection. It’s a quiet, meaningful way to center your heart.

Good Friday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m., we will gather in the Sanctuary for a service that honors the sacrifice of Jesus. It is a somber, sacred time—a necessary pause before the joy of Easter morning.

Easter Sunday, April 20, begins with a Sunrise Service on the front lawn at 7:00 a.m. We’ll greet the dawn with worship, communion, and a light breakfast afterward.

Then at 9:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship and 11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship, we’ll lift our voices in joyful celebration, welcoming the Resurrected Christ with open arms and full hearts.

Friends, this is the week to invite someone, to bring your family. To say “yes” to the journey. From the waving of the palms to the light of the empty tomb, we are telling the greatest story ever told. And you’re part of it.

Let’s worship together.

God bless,
Stephanie
