Matthew 21:1-11
We are, all of us, people of expectation.
-They were genuinely, desperately hopeful.
Do we actually know what kind of King Jesus is?
"The whole assembly"
They brought three charges.
-He is inciting the nation.
-He is telling people not to pay taxes to Caesar.
-He is claiming to be a king.
They weaponized the truth about Him
"I find no basis for an accusation against this man."
-He made the inconvenient thing someone else's responsibility.
- Herod's response was mockery.
-"I will therefore have him flogged and release him."
Barabbas.
-Barabbas did not ask for this.
"Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can."
-Who told you that was the starting point?
-Not as an example. As a substitute.
-It is the response.
-Just receive it.
Do the good that grace makes possible.
Live like someone who walked out of a cell they should have stayed in.
